Adding a password to your numbers

We strongly recommend setting a unique strong password for each of your lines. This measure is intended to prevent fraud on your account. The password is used to authenticate the connection of your number to a handset, softphone, or PBX.  It’s easy to add a password to your number. Just follow the steps below:
  1. Log into your account
  2. Select Switchboard
  3. Click on your number
  4. Go to Profile and head to Number Settings
  5. Toggle Restricted on and create a strong password for your line (you must use at least 8 characters, including lower case, upper case, and numbers)
  6. Click Save
Note: If you don’t set a password for your number, your account password is used as a global password to register all numbers in your account.
