1. Overview

Apple and Google both strictly control access to their mobile platforms, especially for apps that integrate deeply with calling, contacts, and system-level services.

To ensure MySIPcity works properly on your Android device, you will need to grant several permissions — including camera, microphone, contacts, phone, and notifications.

These permissions enable calling, messaging, voicemail, and push notifications to function reliably.

2. Download the App from Google Play Store

Open the Google Play Store

1.         Unlock your Android device.

2.         Open the Google Play Store app.

Search for “MySIPcity”

1.         Tap the at the top.

2.         Type MySIPcity

3.         Select the app published by Mike Johnstone.

Tap Install

Download and wait for installation to complete.

3. Open the App

When you launch MySIPcity for the first time, Android will ask for several permissions that are required for calling, notifications, and contact integration.

Please tap Allow While Using the App or each permission:

·       Take pictures and record video

·       Record audio

·       Access your contacts

·       Make and manage phone calls

These permissions ensure calls, messaging, and notifications work correctly.

4. Enable the Calling Account

Android will present a screen.

1.         Tap MySIPcity.

2.         Turn the toggle ON .

This integrates MySIPcity with your device’s native calling system for improved call handling.

5. Allow Notifications

Both Android and iPhone automatically place apps into a sleep or low-power state to preserve battery life.

Push Notifications are essential — they wake your phone so you can receive incoming calls and messages, even when the app is in the background or the device is idle.

You will see a prompt:

“If you want to receive calls… you must have Push Notifications enabled”, tap Open Settings.

Tap Open Settings, then:

• Open App notifications

• Enable Allow Notifications
